Philippine Honorary Consulate Opens In Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, NV — The Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles opened its first-ever Philippine Honorary Consulate in Las Vegas, following a commitment to make government services accessible to the Filipino community.

Community leader Bella Aurora “Amie” P. Belmonte will serve as the first honorary consul in Las Vegas, under the leadership of Consul General Edgar Badajos.

Belmonte, a long-time resident of Southern Nevada, traces her family roots to San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte.

New Consul General Badajos Meets With Vegas’ Fil-Am Community During Outreach Mission Make it stand out

PHILIPPINE Consul General Edgar Badajos, who recently took the helm of the Consulate General in Los Angeles, led the team’s first outreach mission in Las Vegas at the beginning of May.

From May 1-2, the outreach efforts held at Santa Fe Station Hotel rendered 609 consular services, including applications for passport renewal, dual citizenship, and legalization services.

Broadway Barkada Brings A Mesmerizing Show To Las Vegas

AFTER a difficult year for the arts and art lovers, Las Vegas was treated to a performance of BROADWAY STRIPPED by Broadway Barkada on Friday, June 11.

The group — which is composed primarily of Filipino American performers who have starred in productions such as “Miss Saigon,” “CATS,” “Here Lies Love,” “Hamilton,” “Les Miserables,” “The Phantom of the Opera,” “Once On This Island” and “School of Rock,” to name a few — took the stage at The Space for a packed audience. Theatergoers were able to enjoy the Broadway experience, right here in our community.
